The Fundraising/Special Events volunteers assist in raising awareness of Victim Services of Windsor & Essex County in our community. We are looking for energetic people who would like to contribute to the success of our programs by helping raising essential funds at various events.
Not-For-Profit Concession Stands:
At the WFCU arena during the Windsor Spitfires games (September to playoff’s) we staff one of the concession stands. For each stand we, need 6 volunteers who are 18yrs+ to staff the cash registers and serve alcohol (smart serve training is provided). We also need 6 volunteers who are 14+to work various food stations; popcorn, hot dogs, coffee, nachos. Each shift starts an hour before game time and ends at the drop of the puck in the third period after a brief clean up. All volunteers are asked to wear black pants or dark pants (no jeans) and comfortable shoes. A hat and shirt will be provided to you to wear for the duration of your shift. This is a great fun way to earn your 40 hours of volunteer work, while gaining experience in the hospitality industry and raising essential funds for Victim Services. For more information on how to volunteer please download an application and mail it into our office, or call 519-723-2711 for more information.
